I read this comprehensive book, and then, together with my husband and girlfriends, I climbed Mt Fuji summit with Richard. Such a terrific experience. Once you embark on such a journey it is very important to consider the pitfalls and potential risks. We did it off-season in June and without such a guide wouldn't try this. Not only did Richard instruct us on the best path to take, he also showed us how to walk so we maintained our energy level and we did not suffer physically after the climb.
